Trust Khosa Harare &mdash A BATTLE of the bands is on the cards this Friday when a city pub hosts a mini-jazz festival where
all the proceeds would be channelled towards charity. Two children’s homes have since been identified as beneficiaries. Dubbed the “M5 Jazz Festival”, the rare musical extravaganza is a brainchild of afro-jazz singer Dumisani Ngulube together with the management of Club M5 in Westlea. The youthful couple of Selmor Mtukudzi and Tendai Manatsa are billed to perform at the occasion with their afro-jazz blended contemporary beat. Celebrated diva Rute Mbangwa, Dumi & Amagents together with Too Open complete the set of performers billed to enthrall revellers. Event co-ordinator and Club M5 manager Harperz Mapimhidze said his stable was committed to charity.
“It is against this background that we have decided to organise such a mini-jazz festival featuring some of the big names on home soil,” he said.
