While Devin of CHUD.com and I have our personal differences, I’ll set those aside to promote a charity event he notified a group of
us movie bloggers about. It’s an auction of a very rare wood-framed canvas painted poster for the film Brick, which was featured at the Sundance Film Festival. This painted version of the poster was only given out to those who worked on the film, so it’s not to be found for sale anywhere. You don’t have to live in LA to win, but if you do writer/director Rian Johnson will present the canvas poster to you personally. Brick is a detective story about a teenage loner who pushes his way into the underworld of a high school crime ring to investigate the disappearance of his ex-girlfriend. It’s won many awards and stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Lukas Haas and Richard Roundtree. The proceeds will go to AIDS Project Los Angeles.
To find out more about this and to bid on the poster head on over to Ebay for what could turn out to be a valuable collectible and especially to help out a charity.
