After the huge success of their first calendar last year, which raised more than $3000 for the Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, Fairview Women’s Institute members have got their gear off again. President Betty Jackson said last year’s calendar had not only sold 498 copies, but had also increased the institute’s numbers. “Since then we’ve actually doubled our membership. They must all want to get their gear off,” she said with a laugh. The institute has 44 members, 31 of whom are registered for the upcoming Relay for Life and and involved with other fundraising efforts. The latest calendar features models aged from their 20s to their 80s and is based on and around Fairview.
However, Mrs Jackson is not giving away any specifics of the subtle scenes.
