WHAT TO KEEP IN MIND – A MOMENT OF REFLECTION ON OUR EVENT The event is put on to raise money.
It’s a fundraiser. Can you buy some of these items cheaper online Sometimes. Can you find a better deal somewhere else Maybe. That’s not the point. We’re all very blessed in this world when compared to the situations that some of the children and families that the Boys and Girls Home helps support. We urge you to find compassion in your hearts and realize that yes you can go out to dinner anywhere and probably pay less per person for it, and yes you might be able to find that autographed puck or jersey online for a cheaper price than what you would pay for it at Face Off for Charity. However, an important thing to remember is that 95% of all items that are auctioned off are donated to the event, so 100% of the proceeds from the items stay right here in Siouxland to help our very own. We feel that all of these reasons are extremely worthy of keeping the green in Siouxland and helping your fellow citizens in need. On top of that, there are many people working behind the scenes, pouring hundreds of hours of their time into the Face Off for Charity Event. Thank you to those who understand, and those who support our cause. No matter how big or small your part in the event is, be it behind the scenes or in the seats helping us achieve our goals, we want you to know that every penny, every minute of time spent and every moment of thought regarding those in need is so very, very appreciated.
