Kevin Bacon might be used to taking in the air around Los Angeles, but a charity performance on a mountain at 14 000 feetwas something new.
Bacon, his brother Michael, and nearly a hundred hikers made the trek up the 14 110-foot Pikes Peak on the weekend as a fundraiser for Love Hope Strength Foundation cancer charity. The music-centric organization provides support for cancer centres around the world, and The Bacon Brothers performed three songs after Kevin had a quick puff of oxygen.
After his mountain charity performance, Kevin Bacon explained, “When I’m in Los Angeles I go for a few hikes a week, but I don’t go out for six hours at 14,000 feet – that was new.”
