It’s back and it’s bigger than before, Last year we called it the Playboy Ball and ended up in a lawsuit
so this year we have changed the name to “The Ball” and we promise it to bigger and better than ever before..
September 1st will again see the Civic in Christchurch transformed into a palace of lights, glamour and extravagance as 650 guest dance, drink and flirt the evening away.
The Ball described as the “who’s who” event of the year, with master of ceremonies Marc Ellis, features live entertainment by the very popular VagueAs Brothers, includes a charity auction, celebrities and of course the ever popular Jim Beam girls. A lavish evening with a feature of the ball being the closure of Manchester Street for the countless limousines and VIP cars delivering guests for a Hollywood style red carpet entrance!
A focus of The Ball is to raise money for charity and this year the charity will be Youth Suicide Prevention. A worthy cause helping to educate and prevent depression and suicide amongst our children of today. Last year the ball was sold out at 550 guests but this year improvements will see a themed bubble garden and allow for an increase in ticket sales to 650 which is sure to sell out very quickly.
Acting as a replacement for the very popular Swing Under The Stars The Ball is the one event not to miss in 2007. The evening is R18 and a ticket to The Ball is $120, includes unlimited free bubbles, beer and nibbles. A limited number of reserved tables for ten are available for $1200. call Hospitality Events to purchase yours now on 03 3595-920.
