Winter time means people in need, and for the Auckland City Mission charity, this means its time to go orange.
The Orange Day Appeal sees churches and schools run orange-themed events to collect food and donations for those in need over the winter months. The colour was chosen to represent good health, vitality and hope, and the appeal raises awareness about issues of local poverty and hunger. Schools are involved from June 22nd to July 3, while churches participate on Sunday July 4.
In the cold dreary winter months, Auckland City Mission is brightening up peoples lives with colourful Orange Day charity events. For more information or to register your interest, email or call 303 9209.
