Zimbabwe is currently experiencing an epidemic of cholera, with more than 500 fatalities attributed to the disease, now causing a social services crisis.
The country’s health services are collapsing under terrible pressure to treat approximately 12 550 cholera cases nationwide hospitals are closing, creating a national crisis and a horrific situation for the people there.
The World Health Organization will hold an emergency meeting on December 11 about the Zimbabwe cholera epidemic, which has now also spread to Botswana, Zambia and South Africa.
