Gambling the night away, guests at a Casino Royale evening raised £900 for a children’s cancer care charity.
The casino night, held at the Crossways Hotel, Wootton, will help youngsters and their families cared for by CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading children’s cancer charity. Supporters included Travis Perkins, Norton Garden Machinery, Sense Hair and Beauty, Clarks Shoes, Coca-Cola Schweppes, Wells Golf Club, JTS Snacks, A David, Su Millard, Golden House Chinese restaurant, Jon Thorners, Griffiths, West One, Coors, Matthew Clarke, Solo II, and Browne’s Garden Centre. “The highlight of the evening was an impromptu salsa dance which raised more than £100,” said Tanya. “Due to the success of the event, we will be holding a second casino night in the new year.”
