GETTING fit and making your own smoothie at the same time is part of the fun at this year’s Devon County Show.
The Co-operative is wheeling out its smoothie bicycle at the event in support of the show’s charity of the year, the St Loye’s Foundation. Helen Trebble, St Loye’s Foundation’s events coordinator, said: “The charity is absolutely delighted to be joining forces with the Co-operative at the Devon County Show. “The focus for the St Loye’s Foundation exhibit is have-a-go activities to demonstrate that people of all ages and physical abilities can lead active and healthy lifestyles. “The smoothie bike ties in perfectly with this and is not only a fun way to burn off a few calories but will help us raise valuable money for a deserving local cause.” Lisa Johnson, the Co-operative’s campaign manager for food marketing, said: “The smoothie bike is a great way for visitors to our stand to create a healthy drink, and now we can raise a healthy amount for a good cause as well.”
