Lindsay and Pauline Meers are taking part in the annual bash that kicked off from Bennelong Point on Sunday with the destination Broken Hill
on August 26. The husband and wife team are on their second and third bash respectively, and the first in their 1966 HR Holden sedan beautifully painted by professional artist Peter Mortimore. Mr Mortimore was also present for the exhibition of nudes by fellow artist Peter Browne who used the night as a fundraiser for the Variety event. The Atelier Des Nus exhibition received mixed reviews by the patrons who attended but everyone enjoyed the cheese, bikkies and wine on offer and agreed the night supported a great cause. Money was raised by the raffle of paintings donated by Mr Browne with Bill Robey and Jenny Quigley the lucky winners. Mrs Meers said she was extremely grateful for support received and money from the night would add to the $25,000 the couple already raised for Variety this year.
