drive for kids. (WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA) Mike Pegler, owner of The Consignment Warehouse in Westlake Village, will host a fundraiser at his 20,000 square-foot home furnishing showroom to benefit Many Mansions, August 28-30. A portion of the proceeds from the entire weekend will be donated to help the Ventura County nonprofit purchase school supplies for more than 200 youths living in low-income housing communities. The benefit includes a private event on Friday, August 28, with Saturday and Sunday August 29-30 open to the public. What is needed: New school supplies, including: backpacks, pens (blue, black, and red), pencil pouches, reinforcements (for paper holes), page protectors, pencil sharpeners (with a catcher), highlighters, scissors, colored markers, white board markers, rulers, protractors, calculators, compasses, subject tab dividers, scotch tape, binders (½ inch up to 3-inch), college ruled paper, wide ruled paper, and pink erasers. “I have been looking for a charity to partner with and when I learned about Many Mansions, specifically the Back to School Drive, it was a perfect match, Pegler said. “I have a soft spot for any cause involving children. With children, a compliment, a smile, or just being able to fit in can literally change their lives. I am excited about our first charity event.” The Consignment Warehouse features famous names that read like the Furniture Hall of Fame highlighting hand-selected designer furniture and accessories, including one-of-a-kind antiques, rare oriental rugs, fine art, collectibles and classic furniture, and exclusive manufacturer’s collections.
