A portion of the proceeds from weekend home furnishing sales at The Consignment Warehouse will benefit Many Mansions backpack and school supply drive for
kids. (WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA) Mike Pegler, owner of The Consignment Warehouse in Westlake Village, will host a fundraiser at his 20,000 square-foot home furnishing showroom to benefit Many Mansions this weekend, August 28-30. A portion of the proceeds from the entire weekend will be donated to help the Ventura County nonprofit purchase school supplies for more than 200 youths living in low-income housing communities. The benefit includes a private event on Friday, August 28, with Saturday and Sunday August 29-30 open to the public. What is needed: New school supplies, including: backpacks, pens (blue, black, and red), pencil pouches, reinforcements (for paper holes), page protectors, pencil sharpeners (with a catcher), highlighters, scissors, colored markers, white board markers, rulers, protractors, calculators, compasses, subject tab dividers, scotch tape, binders (½ inch up to 3-inch), college ruled paper, wide ruled paper, and pink erasers. “I have been looking for a charity to partner with and when I learned about Many Mansions, specifically the Back to School Drive, it was a perfect match, Pegler said. “I have a soft spot for any cause involving children. With children, a compliment, a smile, or just being able to fit in can literally change their lives. I am excited about our first charity event.” The Consignment Warehouse features famous names that read like the Furniture Hall of Fame highlighting hand-selected designer furniture and accessories, including one-of-a-kind antiques, rare oriental rugs, fine art, collectibles and classic furniture, and exclusive manufacturer’s collections.
