Boxing legends visit a knockout for awed fans

CROWDS lined the pavement around the Britannia Stadium to get a glimpse of a sporting legend.
While only a select few had the chance to enjoy dinner with boxer Muhammad Ali yesterday, hundreds more gathered around the entrance to the ground to catch sight of their hero arriving. Many arrived hours before the start of the function and by the time he arrived the excitement had built to shouts of, ‘Ali, Ali’. During the build up, the 16-year-old, of Foxgloves Avenue, told The Sentinel: “This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance for me to see him. Ali has done so much for the , he is just amazing.” Article continues below Video: Ali arrives at the Brit
And the day turned out to be a double celebration for Ronnie, who also received the news he passed all 10 of his GCSEs, when he was one of the lucky few to get up close to his hero as he entered the stadium.
