Looking for a summer camp for your young ones? If you’re from Des Moines, Iowa, the Animal Rescue League of Iowa (ARL) has your back. Camp Kindness is happening on August 4 – 8, 8AM-12NN, at ARL Main. Campers will undergo various arts and crafts workshops, play lots of fun games, and interact with friendly shelter animals, all while learning the values of kindness and respect for all living things. Funds raised from this activity will go to ARL, Iowa’s largest nonprofit animal shelter, whose mission is to “protect the welfare of animals, preserve the human-animal bond, and prevent the overpopulation of companion animals.”
