Living with cancer, and the uncertainty of life is difficult and heartbreaking, but finding support in these hard moments should not be so challenging. Every year, over 22,000 families in New Zealand alone learn the saddening news of cancer, and this has prompted to raise awareness among individuals to get checked as early as possible in order to find alternative treatments and if possible, a cure.
Whether it’s an information booklet, a beanie, or a turban to motivate when during treatment, comfortable accommodation for patients being treated with care, or any amount of help to reduce distress among families dealing with the disease is a shot in the arm. The Annual Cancer Society ball spearheaded by Cancer Society Nelson Tasman and sponsored by The Cooper Group Estate Agents aims to continuously create programs for the benefit of Cancer patients in New Zealand. Continued patronage to programs like this elevates hope for people in New Zealand who received cancer diagnoses daily.
The charity ball will be held at The Trafalgar Centre on Saturday 24th June 2023 with fabulous food, entertainment and the opportunity to bid for some amazing auction items. Funds raised from our ball enable us to support patients and their families/whānau in the Nelson Tasman region affected by cancer. We rely solely on the support and generosity of our community to help those in need.
