People were lined up on Macleod Trail Friday morning to get their locks chopped all in the name of charity.
High River hair salon How We Do Hair and Nail Studio, in conjunction with Redken Canada, hosted the fundraising event in their parking lot from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. to raise money for the ONEXONE Foundation, an initiative that partners with different charitable organizations dedicated to raising the quality of life for children around the world. A total of $750 was raised by the High River business, which will be given to breakfast programs and food banks in the communities with participating salons. Alanna Brookwell, salon owner, was pleased with the turnout.
