What is your favorite soup? Is it pumpkin or tomato? Maybe it’s chicken noodle soup, or perhaps even creamy potato soup. Whatever soup you fancy, there is a bowl for you at The Empty Bowls Luncheon. Happening on May 27 at Embassy Suites, you’ll get to enjoy a warm and delicious bowl of soup made with love and care by local vendors. You’ll also get to take home a beautiful handcrafted stoneware bowl of your choice as a souvenir. Funds raised from this event will go to Food Bank of Lincoln whose mission is “to alleviate hunger in Southeast Nebraska.”
The Empty Bowls Luncheon aims to help fight hunger in Southeast Nebraska by welcoming more than 1,000 supporters to enjoy soup from local vendors and take home a handcrafted stoneware bowl from Down Under Pottery Studio.
These “empty bowls” are a reminder of the many bowls we have filled and the bowls we still need to fill to help the 64,510 neighbors in Southeast Nebraska who are experiencing food insecurity.
