Enjoy a charity polo match to benefit new Sherman Hospital

One of the fastest team sports in the world is coming to Elgin. On Sunday, Aug. 30, Sherman Hospital will host a charity polo match at Dahlwood Farm, 9N655 Kendall Road, Elgin. Proceeds from the event will benefit the campaign for the new Sherman Hospital, slated to open this winter at Randall and Big Timber roads. This family-friendly day will begin with a picnic at 2 p.m., followed by the polo match at 3:30 p.m. General admission guests are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets, as bleacher seating is limited. Food and beverages will be available for purchase and there will be children’s activities, including pony rides and face painting. General admission tickets purchased before Monday, Aug. 24, cost $25 per carload and $30 per carload if purchased the day of the event. A $250 silver box option is available and includes a cabana with table and 10 chairs, premium field placement, signage and recognition during the event. A $500 gold box option is also available and includes a cabana with table and 10 chairs, all food, optimum field placement, signage and recognition during the event.
