Eradication Of Poverty

International Day for the Eradication of Poverty

The United Nations International Day for the Eradication of Poverty was originally created in 1993 to bring attention to the need to eradicate poverty around the world, with a particular focus on developing countries.
On this year’s International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, people all around the world will join the Stand Up Against Poverty movement, urging governments and power brokers to ‘Keep [their] promises to end poverty and achieve the Millennium Development Goals’.
Join a Stand Up Against Poverty event happening in you area and be an active part of International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, October 17.
