colourful events brought people out onto the streets across south Worcestershire and brightened an otherwise grey and dreary August bank holiday weekend. Pershore came alive for the climax of its month-long Plum Festival, with activities taking place across the town centre for the annual Plum Fair Day. The Archers legend Trevor Harrison, who plays Eddie Grundy in the popular Radio 4 soap opera, kicked off proceedings yesterday morning with a reading of his specially-composed poem, Ode to the Great Pershore Plum.
