Everton are set to launch another limited edition shirt to raise funds for the Breast Cancer Campaign.
The Toffees have previously released pink versions of their home kits in both 2007 and 2008 for the cause and this year is no different but an image leaked exclusively to ClickLiverpool revealed that this year’s shirt will be purple, not pink. It is believed that the colour change for the one-off shirts was prompted after the Blues’ kit makers Le Coq Sportif included pink pinstripes in the club’s new black away shirt. The previous shirts were highly popular amongst the club’s female supporters with several matches at Goodison Park designated as ‘Ladies Day’ and are set to announce another event with the launch of the shirt. No one from Everton FC was available for comment at the time of going to press.
