Applications will close this month for the non profit organization Film Independent’s Project: Involve, and the Directors Close Up series will begin this week.
Project: Involve is a diversity program to increase cultural diversity in the film industry by elevating the careers of under-represented filmmakers.
Film Independent Fellows will receive a year’s mentorship and the opportunity of a lifetime.
Past fellows and mentors include The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan and Half Life writer/director Jennifer Phang.
The Directors Close Up series, conversations on the art of filmmaking with moderator Mary Sweeney, will run from February 4 until March 11.
Film Independent Project: Involve applications close February 23.
