Food For Life, Healthy Mind, Body

Fundraiser for Learning for Life Autism Center

Learning for Life Autism Centre presents Food for Life. Healthy Body. Healthy Mind. On July 30, 2013, we will have a fundraising event to raise funds to help subsidise early intensive behavioural intervention programs for young children with Autism to help them reach their potential.

There will be an inspiring and informative discussion from experts and those working with people who have body image issues. The Panel includes Tiffiny Hall (TV presenter, author, taekwondo master, PT), Jane Kennedy (Working Dog, author, supermum), Prof Susan Paxton (Dept Psychology La Trobe Uni, a Dirctor of the Butterfly Foundation), Melissa Whitelaw (dietician and PhD candidate researching eating disorders/obesity) and Bridget Parsons (school captain of Star of The Sea College).

The discussion will be kept on the move by L4Life patron, Tom Gleisner (Working Dog) who will facilitate. There will also be a Q and A at the end. Other fundraising activities such as silent auction, raffle and jewellery sale will make up the morning finishing off with a social and sumptuous morning tea provided by Leonda by the Yarra.
