Heather Mills Fashion Line Debuts on the Catwalk

Images from Daily Mail Heather Mills, Paul McCartney’s erstwhile wife, has just come out with her own line of recycled fashion pieces.
Called Beone, fashionistas have gone out of their way to rip it apart, to Heather herself. The clothes are all remodelled from recycled clothing. As she says “Society throws away over a million tones of clothing and textiles into the rubbish bins annually, many of these items could be resold or remade into something new and exciting.” The gossips don’t quite agree and are having loads of nasty fun… , ever so sweetly: “It’s a good job Heather has her vegan restaurant and wholefoods business to fall back on. And Stella McCartney – Sir Paul’s daughter and an esteemed designer – can probably stop worrying that Heather is going to steal her fashion icon status.” The collection is for men and women, casual and dressy. A wedding gown is made of recycled white lace and there are high waisted trousers for women. From the photos, it seems to be flashy with a bit of a trashy look to it. Good for wild parties. There will be two collections a year. More details on her website. She will be using unwanted clothing from charity shops and industrial waste. No animal, silk or leather by-products will be used and it will be made in the UK.
Mills is a one-woman dynamo when it comes to charitable events. She has set up an annual charity fashion event in support of the National Animal Rescue that improves the lives of homeless animals. That’s where she introduced her fashion line this year. Next month she will be skydiving out of an airplane from 3,000 feet in support of the New York Coalition for Healthy School Food (NYCHSF). Not to mention her vegan cafe in England where she infuriated the locals by buying up a popular fish restaurant and taking fish off the menu. A second one is to be opened in New York. Go girl.
