ICAP plc (IAP.L),a leading markets operator and provider of post trade risk mitigation and information services, announces today that itwill hold its 22nd Annual Global Charity Day this Wednesday, December 3, 2014. On this day, 100% of ICAP’s revenues and commissions generated globally will be donated to more than 200 charities worldwide.
Since Charity Day was launched in 1993, ICAP has raised more than$176.5 millionfor over 1,600 charities worldwide. In 2013 alone, $15.5million was raised by ICAPs 60 plus offices globally, for over 200 charitable projects. This equates to 3% of ICAP’s full year pre-tax profit for Full Year 2013/2014.
This year, Charity Day will again be raising funds for another 200 charities globally, of which over 35 are US charities. On the day, these charities will be joined by their celebrity patrons who will speak directly to ICAP’s customers on the phone to close deals, boosting trading volumes in the process. For 2014, America Scores, Computers for Youth, Durham Cares, and House of Ruth are some of the charities supported in the US by ICAP. In the past,Halle Berry, Kate Upton, Eli Manning, Daniel Craigand many other distinguished guestshave attended to lend their support to ICAP and its charities.
