This year, we gather for Hope & Healing for Los Angeles to support, uplift, and empower communities affected by the recent wildfires. Studies demonstrate that victims of natural disasters often experience mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, insomnia, aggression, substance abuse, increased risk of suicide and family violence. Children are often among the most vulnerable after a disaster. In these moments, it is essential to provide support systems that can help children process and heal from these experiences.
