BRACEVILLE – The Braceville Memorial Day Service will be held at 10:30 a.m.
Monday beginning with a service at Braceville Christian Church. Following the service there will be a parade at 11 a.m. starting at Braceville Center and ending at the Braceville Cemetery where there will be a Memorial Day tribute. A lunch will follow at the township garage. BROOKFIELD – The annual Memorial Day Parade will step off at 10 a.m. Monday from behind Brookfield Middle School on Grove Street, head west, then turn south on state Route 7 to the Brookfield Township Cemetery. A veteran memorial service will be held at the flag pole at the back of the cemetery immediately following the parade. CHAMPION – St. John Lutheran Church, 5734 Mahoning Ave. N.W., is holding a Salute to Veterans after Champion’s Memorial Day parade and cemetery ceremony at 9 a.m. Monday. The parade will be travel from the high school to the cemetery on Route 305 for a veterans memorial service. There will be free food and refreshments. GREENE – The Greene Historical Society is hosting a Memorial Day ceremony at 10 a.m. Monday at Green Lawn Cemetery, followed by a luncheon at the town hall. HOWLAND – American Legion Howland Post 700 and Ladies Auxiliary will hold a Memorial Day ceremony at 10 a.m. Monday at the cemetery on state Route 46. Scheduled events include a guest speaker from Youngstown Air Reserve Station and a flyover by a C-130 Hercules aircraft. HOWLAND – Shepherd of the Valley, 4100 North River Road, will host a Memorial Day service at 3:30 p.m. Thursday. The Trumbull County American Legion Honor Guard will post the colors. Retired Army Col. Robert Mangold will conduct a service. JOHNSTON – Johnston Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7614 is holding a Memorial Day service at 10 a.m. Monday at the Johnstown Township Cemetery. A lunch will follow at the VFW Post one mile west of the Johnston Center.
KINSMAN – The Harry Lees American Legion Post 506 will hold Memorial Day services at 10 a.m. Monday at Vernon Township Hall and 11 a.m. at Kinsman Township Square. A parade will travel to the cemetery for a service. At noon, there will be program at Joseph Badger High School followed by a luncheon at 1 p.m. at the American Legion on state Route 87.
