Seattle Times staff The Jim Mora Celebrity Classic on Monday will open a busy week of golf leading up to the fifth Boeing Classic Champions Tour tournament. The three-day tournament is Friday through Sunday at the TPC at Snoqualmie Ridge, where the top players on the Champions Tour are scheduled to play, including defending champion Tom Kite. Monday’s Mora Classic begins at 8:30 a.m. Among the participating celebrities will be former Washington football coach Don James, basketball Hall of Famer Lenny Wilkens and NFL Hall of Famers Ted Hendricks, Mike Haynes, Warren Moon and Lynn Swann. Among the other events on tap are Tuesday’s youth clinic presented by Fred Funk and his son, Taylor, and a pro-am tournament Wednesday and Thursday. On Saturday morning at the course, there will be a walk with the players’ wives for charity. At 6 p.m. Saturday will be Grapes on the Green, a wine-tasting event followed by a live, silent auction. Tickets for that event can be purchased at or at 206-223-7504.
Daily tickets are $20 children 14 and under are free. Weekly tickets are $60 tickets for the three-day Champions Tour event are $40. Boeing employees and retirees who show their badge get free admission.
