Are you a runner, training for the upcoming Pittsburgh Great Race Or, are you just curious about the race to watch a series of
videos from Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reporter and veteran runner William Loeffler. ROSTRAVER TOWNSHIP – The Rostraver Township Democrat Committee will team up with local, county and state officials Sept. 19 to fight multiple sclerosis with a charity softball tournament. Event coordinator Bobbie Ann Everett, of West Newton, came up with the idea after learning that family members of people involved with the Democrat Committee suffered from the disease. Everett said many associated with the committee and several people that are not have become involved. “What that shows us is we’re having a lot of unity in the Mon Valley,” she said. “We’re making this a Valley event. Everyone is welcome. We’re not looking at it as political. We’re looking at it as helping sick people.” The event will begin at 10 a.m. at Pavilion 1.
The games will be played on three ball fields.
