Music That Builds Community: Celebrate with Old Town School at Square Roots Fest

Support community and culture—dance, sing, and celebrate with Old Town School at Square Roots!

Some festivals are more than just good vibes—they’re a living rhythm of a community coming together. This July, step into the beat that’s been echoing through Chicago since 1957, and experience how music can uplift, connect, and empower.

Square Roots, happening July 11–13, is more than just a street fest. It’s a celebration that supports the Old Town School of Folk Music, the nation’s largest nonprofit community arts school. With roots deep in folk traditions from around the world, Old Town School has spent decades teaching music that brings generations together—nurturing talent, inspiring creativity, and strengthening community ties.

Every pint poured and note played helps this mission grow. Register here and be part of a Chicago tradition that truly makes a difference.
