The tournament is set to take place at the Fort McDowell Casino in Arizona, USA from November 19 – 21.
The charity raises money for the families of police officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty. Hellmuth hosted last year’s event and that was labelled by some as the ‘most successful charity poker tournament in the country’ after it raised over $500,000 for the families of fallen law enforcement officers. Hellmuth expects this year’s event to be even better than last year. He enthused “Over the last several years, and especially since 9/11, my respect for policemen, firemen and the people who protect us has risen higher and higher. “Our Hold’em for Heroes charity poker tournament gives money to the Fallen Officers Foundation, which supports officers and the families of officers who were killed in the line of duty. My friends and I are grateful to these brave men and women and we are proud to help.” Several big names from the world of poker are set to join Hellmuth at the event, including Brandon Cantu, Antonio Esfandiari, Todd Brunson, Kenna James, Clonie Gowen and Roy Winston.
