in Eastern Kentucky this weekend for the second annual Halfway to Hazard Charity Trail Ride and Concert. Organizers are preparing for up to 25,000 people to attend! The event kicks off with Bluegrass music Saturday morning, followed by Halfway to Hazard and other acts later in the day. The trail ride will be on Sunday. “To experience it you’ve got to be here,” Abner says, “and we invite everybody to come out and enjoy it. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime type thing, and it’s a chance to showcase Eastern Kentucky in a positive light.”
Even though there’s more to be done, organizers are confident they’ll be ready. “They have work to do, but they’ll get it done. They work around the clock. Be ready for the big event on Saturday and the trail ride on Sunday!” Smith says. She says they’ve had calls from people in 20 states about what’s taking place on this farm in Crockettsville.
