Prince Harry The Peoples Polo Player In NY 2009: Stars Excited

Prince Harry the peoples polo player in NY

Stars and an excited public turned out Saturday to watch Britain’s Prince Harry cap his first official trip to New York with a celebrity
polo match. The prince, 24, had spent most of his two-day trip to the city on a somber schedule, starting with wreath-laying at Ground Zero, site of the 9/1l terrorist attack. The polo match, held to raise money for Prince Harry’s Lesotho children’s charity Sentebale, was taking place on Governor’s Island in the Hudson River, with the skyscrapers of Manhattan as the glamorous backdrop. Nacho Figueras, the Argentine model and professional polo player captaining the opposing team to Prince Harry, told AFP his royal rival was a “good player.”
Asked if he’d ease up when it came to direct clashes with the prince, Figueras promised “a real match.”
