Rev Up For Help Ride In Temecula 2009: Inaugural Ride

Rev up for Help Ride in Temecula

For the inaugural Help Ride in Temecula this weekend, organizers looked to three major Southern California events for inspiration: the San Diego Street Scene
music festival, Temecula Rod Run and the Love Ride, an annual charity motorcycle event. “We like Old Town as a venue,” said Gregg Hassler of Golden Crown Productions, which is putting on the event. So Temecula is playing host to motorcycle and music fans as the event revs up this weekend. The event is hosted by guitarist and producer Gilby Clarke of Rock Star Supernova, who is a former guitarist with Guns ‘N’ Roses. There will be motorcycle rides Saturday and Sunday, a bike show and more, capped by a full-on ticketed concert Saturday night. Clarke is the headliner of the big show Saturday night, featuring local country act Austin Law, Gene Loves Jezebel and Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real. The Help Ride will benefit the Southern California chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors, which helps families of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.
