But she won’t be here on her own — joining her will be fellow soap star Tina O’Brien, who plays Sarah Platt in the hit programme. The two beauties will be pressing the flesh and meeting fans down in Harvey’s Bar in Waterford tomorrow evening. – The contestants of RTE reality show Charity Lords of the Ring have managed to raise some &euro109,000 for a string of charities. The week-long show, which was won by Sean Gallagher of Dragons’ Den fame, saw 10 celebs taking to the ring to box it out for a worthy cause following two weeks of intensive training at boot camp. But all the bruises and aching limbs were worth it in the end. This week, it was revealed that of that amount, Cavan native Sean managed to raise some &euro17,350 for his nominated charity National Council for the Blind, while former Man Utd legend Lee Sharpe raised some &euro8,600 for his foundation. Meanwhile, the boxing gloves worn by Bernard Dunne for his World Champion victory bout have been snapped up in a charity auction. The gloves he wore during the famous clash, described as one of the greatest fights ever to be fought on Irish soil, sparked a bidding war at a recent fundraising event in aid of CASA, the disability charity which he patrons. They were eventually sold for a cool &euro4,000 but boxing fans can still check them out, as the signed gloves are on public display in Citi Bar on Dame Street. – The Porterhouse North is bracing itself for an influx of eager GAA fans ahead of this Sunday’s Kerry versus Meath semi-final clash. The pre-match festivities will get under way at the Glasnevin venue from 2pm, which is within walking distance of Croke Park, with live music performed by Glen Baker and the bar serving plenty of tasty pub grub to set up sports fans for the day.
