After returning home, many veterans suffer from PTSD, depression, anxiety, and physical injuries. Many also face isolation, which can worsen the effects that war has on mental health. Recently, the suicide rates for veterans have increased, showing that now more than ever, veterans need the support of their communities. After the hardships they have been through, veterans deserve treatment for both mental and physical conditions. However, this support often isn’t provided, and many people aren’t able to access the support that does exist. If communities can come together in support of veterans and raise awareness of the hardships they go through even after returning home, this can reduce the number of lives lost to suicide.
Tee It Up for the Troops raises money to provide this support. Their Tee It Up for the Troops North Texas Golf Event will be held in July and will raise funds and awareness to support veterans.

Proceeds will support the REUNION national outreach program of Tee It Up for the Troops. Mental health professionals are touting the benefits of such reunions as key in helping combat veterans heal from the visible and invisible wounds of war including depression, isolation, and thoughts of suicide. Proceeds will also support several well-respected North Texas Veteran Service Organizations helping combat veterans to heal, transition, and thrive. The day will include an impactful opening ceremony, a great day of golf, a fabulous dinner, and an auction featuring some amazing items.
