The Longest Day 5k

Participate in a 5k to help end Alzheimer’s.

Alzheimer’s Disease is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States, causing over 100,000 deaths every year. Though there are preventative measures, there is no cure, and the exact causes are unknown, making this disease unpredictable and difficult to treat. Many people around the world have been affected by Alzheimer’s, whether they have it themselves, are caring for someone with it, or have lost someone to the disease. It is something that many people fear could become their own reality as they grow older. Though it is difficult to treat and prevent, there are still ways to fight this disease and help those who are affected by it.

The Alzheimer’s Association is working to end Alzheimer’s. The Longest Day 5k will raise funds to benefit this organization.

Welcome to our team page for The Longest Day! We are determined to help end Alzheimer’s by raising funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. Marielle lost her grandmother to Alzheimer’s 9 years ago and has been an advocate ever since. Combining her passion for Alzheimer’s, pageantry, and her work at Prehab San Diego, we have created the Longest Day 5k event!

The Longest Day is the day with the most light — the summer solstice. On June 21, thousands of participants from across the world come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s through a fundraising activity of their choice. Our team is joining the fight! Our Certified Athletic Trainer, Marielle L’Heureux, also Miss San Diego USA 2023 is partnering with Prehab San Diego to host the Longest Day 5k event!

We need your help to end this relentless disease. Together, the strength of our light will outshine the darkness of Alzheimer’s.

Your kindness and generosity truly make a difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s. Thank you for your support!
