TWO locals will take a leap into the unknown to raise cash for charity.
Jordan Buchanan from Balfron and Scott Docherty will take part in a free air abseil down 165ft from the Forth Bridge. The event on September 13 has been arranged by the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Sixteen-year-old Jordan’s little sister Emma (10) has CF. Jordan said: “I learned of the abseil through publicity from the trust and thought it was something I would like to do. “Emma has CF and I know other people with it. The charities which support people and families with CF do a lot.” The Balfron High pupil set herself a target of raising £200 for the charity but, thanks to donations from people at the pub where she works part-time, her total already stands at £866.
She said: “I have received so much support from my family and friends. Everyone is backing me and Emma is very excited.
