Wednesday, 19 August 2009 GET your walking boots on and get ready to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
The walk is part of a national fundraising event, Walk to D’feet, organised every year by the Motor Neurone Disease Association. Hundreds of people will be taking part in similar events across the country. This year’s event is particularly special as it marks the 30th anniversary of the formation of the association. Tracy Johnson, who is a member of the motor neurone disease team at the West Cumberland Hospital, has organised the walk with the North and West Cumbria branch of the MND Association. The walk takes place on Saturday, September 5. It will begin at Broadmoor car park, near Ennerdale bridge, at 11am.
If you would like to take part in the walk contact Tracy Johnson on 01946 592943 before August 31.
