The event will be held at the Jerudong Park Amphitheatre at 7.30pm.
According to Datin Paduka Hjh Rokiah binti Hj Zakiah, the president of the WBC, the event is aimed at raising funds for underprivileged families in Brunei, which is in line with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s vision of zero poverty in 2035. The event will be fully supported by the Department of Community Development under the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. The one-night event will feature dance and music numbers from local talents and artistes. Original music will be composed and sung by the youths around the concept of poverty. The music will also be released in a Sounds of Hope CD album. The event is co-organised by the Sounds of Hope (SOH) Youth Volunteer Network Against Poverty under the auspices of the WBC. The network is made up of registered volunteers under the Volunteering Programme of the Department of Community Development, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
