In just one day Justin Bieber has managed to raise almost $10 000 for charity: water, as part of his birthday wish to raise $17 000.
Fans have responded to the pop star, donating on average $17 dollars at a time, for his birthday on 1 March.
“I have had an incredible year and it is all due to the fans helping me live my dream. I’m turning 17 years old on Tuesday, and have so much to be grateful for!
So this year, I really want my birthday to be all about helping others. Instead of asking for gifts, I’m asking friends, family and fans to consider donating $17 for my 17th birthday to help make a change.”
