Sydney Frontrunners is again happy to host a truly unique Mardi Gras event our annual Little Black Dress Run or LBD as we call it.
There is certainly something a bit Queer about this one. &133 The LBD is absolutely, by no means, your usual fun run. You can bet your fishnet nylons on this! Think Glam, High Camp, a lark in the park.
Imagine over 100 runners in little black dresses &150 their Salvo finest with all the accessories &150 striding through the park. It&146s more than women on the run, jocks in frocks, dragsters or feeling the &147Thrill of Frill&148 &150 it&146s about skirting the park to help children growing up with HIV.
The LBD Run is a 5K fun run fundraiser for Camp Goodtime &150 A charity based at the Sydney Children&146s Hospital raising funds to care for children living with HIV.
Entry is FREE&133 (as glamour should be)&133 yet the LBD Run is also a Fundraiser.
There is no registration fee but to help the ankle biters we do ask for a Voluntary Donation on the day ($10 suggested).
Aside from looking fabulous, you can also contribute by asking and encouraging friends, family & co-workers to sponsor you. More about this and sponsorship forms on our website (Go there to find the photos &150 Crikey! talk about a 1000 words!)
Tax Receipts for Charitable funds donation or Matching Funds contribution available by request.
You don&146t have to be a runner to dress up and, heck you don&146t even have to be a jogger, and you don&146t even have to wear a dress although getting into the spirit is contagious!
This is a great event to bring your Valentine to or just borrow one of ours. The route is about 5k, reasonably flat and rarely ran in heels.
