Patrick Swayze Fights Cancer with Congress

On behalf of all cancer sufferers, Patrick Swayze has taken his fight against cancer to Congress, asking that they help fund more scientific research and initiatives to find a cure for cancer. The Beast actor and other cancer sufferers are asking Congress for a $10 billion boost into research, which would also resolve to create more jobs, aiding the current financial climate.

Patrick Swayze writes in an open letter published in The Washigton Post, 'heres my plea to Congress: Stand up to cancer. Stand up for people fighting serious disease. Stand up and help restore America's economy. Stand up and help build a prosperous and healthy future for our people.'
