The pay-it-forward culture has not only helped in creating well-rounded individuals but assisted in building communities that support and create opportunities for others. This is what The Maarifa Foundation has been doing for years now. With education as paramount in bridging knowledge, and fostering opportunity, it is truly commendable that there are groups like The Maarifa Foundation that focus on empowering and cultivating passion amongst youth in ethnic groups, such as the Masaai community.
It takes a village to raise a kid, and this is made more evident with the foundation’s efforts to implement a ‘twinning program’, where Aussie students can connect with their Kenyan classmates to achieve their environmental goals. The foundation’s projects highly value delivering fun and engaging programs among Aussie and Kenyan students and bridging these two diverse groups through education.
These events, like the Sundowners in Africa Cocktail Party, led by the Maarifa foundation is an opportunity to give back to our shared planet and invest in tomorrow’s custodians.
