Sometimes, even asking for help takes courage. The cases of suicide have been surging, ever since cyberbullying became a thing. Financial and personal crises are still taking their toll in pushing people to self-destruction. About eight to nine people are dying of suicide in Australia, and more than 700,000 people have been dying worldwide.

Clearly, some people need others to make them feel that they are not alone in their fight. Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury Sydney is one of 40 Lifeline centers across Australia whose mission and guiding principle is to provide counseling services for the community. Suicide prevention is why Lifeline’s 24-hour telephone crisis support service was developed more than 50 years ago. Join The 2023 Lifeline Sapphire Gala Ball and enjoy a glamorous evening of food, wines, and dancing. All proceeds from the event will go directly to suicide prevention and crisis support.
