Prostate cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer and the fifth leading cause of cancer death among men worldwide. Hence the good news is, death from prostate cancer has significantly decreased over the years. Early detection, brought about by advanced screenings, tons of research, and innovative clinical projects has helped provide better outcomes, especially for the 4,000 New Zealand men who are diagnosed on a yearly basis.

The goal of the Prostate Cancer Foundation of New Zealand is to bring its vision, which is to significantly reduce and eventually eliminate suffering and death from prostate cancer to fruition. To achieve this goal, the organization is utilizing every tool at its disposal to raise funds and receive assistance from people all over the world.

The Foundation relies on the generosity of donors and fundraising events like Pedal4Prostate to fund and provide the essential services it offers to people affected by the disease because it receives no funding from the government.

Pedal4Prostate is a fun and adrenaline-filled 4-hour endurance cycling event over the 2.7km National Circuit at Hampton Downs Motorsport Park, located in Te Kauwhata, New Zealand. Race as fast as you can to complete as many laps as possible in the time, strategizing how you or your team will take the chequered flag. All bikes are fitted with transponders, enabling real-time progress and results
