“There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t.” ― John Green
Often, we think we are the only one suffering from mental dilemmas and stress, when in fact we are in a common place with millions of others. Mental health problems are much more common than we anticipate, and we are not alone in this battle. Programs and foundations like The Goanna Academy, are representations of experiences, specifically Greg Inglis’ life after football.
Movements like this, are a showcase of responding to the social responsibility we all have to our community. Building a character through the challenges of life, is the soul of the foundation. It’s meant to change lives and break the cycle of rising cases of poor mental health in sectors of youth, adults and indigenous community.
The Annual Gala evening, is a night to support and celebrate the extraordinary work that the Goanna Academy has made a commitment to in striving to assist everyday Australians and young people who suffer in silence.
The night will feature special guests from the Australian Sporting landscape, esteemed speakers, fundraising opportunities, luxury experiences to claim, and entertainment as a way of honouring the support you provide to help this important illness.
Enjoy a fully inclusive three-course dinner with live entertainment and help us get closer to breaking the stigma of Mental Health.
The Goanna Academy looks forward to hosting you at this evening.
