Many animal species are on the brink of disappearing forever, and it’s crucial to prevent their extinction. Protecting these creatures ensures a balanced ecosystem, which benefits us all. Did you know that bees, vital for pollination, are under threat? Addressing extinction risks preserves biodiversity, maintaining the delicate web of life. By safeguarding these species, we secure a healthier planet for future generations and acknowledge the interconnectedness of all living beings.
In the face of mounting extinction threats, organizations like Zoos South Australia are taking meaningful action. Committed to wildlife conservation, they actively contribute to the preservation of endangered species through research, breeding programs, and habitat restoration, embodying a noble dedication to ensuring a future where no creature is lost forever.
As the need for wildlife conservation intensifies, Zoos South Australia gears up for a pivotal event. Recognizing the urgency to protect endangered species, they are thrilled to announce the Zoos SA Gala 2024 on February 09, 2024. This evening promises to be a celebration of collective efforts, uniting supporters for a noble cause dedicated to preserving our planet’s rich biodiversity.
Asian Elephants Burma, Putra Mas and Permai are packing their trunks and joining the Monarto Safari Park family in 2024/25 thanks to an incredible community campaign. While we’ve raised the funds to bring the trio to South Australia, there’s still more we need and want to do.
Join us for a mammoth night of celebration and fundraising at the 2024 Zoos SA Gala.
The Gala will help support Zoos SA, a non-government conservation charity, in its mission of connecting people with nature and saving species from extinction.
Having the three founding elephants at Monarto Safari Park will enable a new generation of South Australians (as well as interstate and international visitors) to form a connection to elephants and ignite a passion to ensure their long-term conservation. To do this, our aim is to offer the most inclusive and accessible experience possible, allowing every single visitor the opportunity to get up close and appreciate this giant species.
Why do Asian Elephants need our help? Sadly, the population of Asian Elephants is declining with up to 50% of the species lost in the last three generations. Educating visitors about the species and therefore ensuring their survival is vital.
Enjoy a delicious meal, give a cheers to conservation and help us raise funds to provide one ‘ele of an accessible and inclusive experience for all.
