The Melbourne Pasifika Festival (MPF) will return on Saturday, 5 December 2026, at Banjo Paterson Park in Lynbrook, Victoria. Located at the playground end of the park on River Redgum Place, the festival is also only a short walk from Lynbrook train station.
The annual festival invites friends, families, and community members to experience Pasifika culture through traditional food stalls, arts and crafts, children’s activities, traditional dancing, live music, and family-friendly entertainment. Beyond celebrating Pacific Island culture, the festival also supports development initiatives across Oceania. Women’s Federation For World Peace Australia (WFWP Australia) directs funds raised through the Pasifika Festival toward its Global Development and Aid projects within the island nations of Oceania.
These initiatives focus on empowering local women by helping provide opportunities for formal education, employment, and skills development. By strengthening these opportunities, the projects aim to help women support themselves and their families financially. The Melbourne Pasifika Festival therefore combines cultural celebration with a broader commitment to community development. Visitors can enjoy a vibrant day of food, music, dancing, and family activities while contributing to projects supporting women and communities across Oceania.
